  Full sun to light shade; very well-drained acidic soil; low, bushy plant with highly fragrant leaves reminiscent of penny royal; loads of small, purple flowers; blooms Aug-Sept., plants 1’ tall; excellent for dry shade; zones 4-7; Va ecotype.
