I've been making stuff as long as I can remember, happiest with busy hands. When I was kid, if you told me crafts were involved I was first in line...this hasn't really changed all that much.
I took some art lessons in elementary school and a fantastic fabric class in college but other than that I just kind of wandered, from craft to craft like a jack of all trades, filling that need to make something...but not making what I would consider art. Pretty things, but empty.
I moved from the east coast, suburbs of Philadelphia to the west coast, winding up in Midtown Sacrament. Through a serendipitous series of events, I met Ms. Kathy Blackburn and saw the amazing work she does...I was inspired. I began to use art as therapy a way to force the maelstrom from my head and make sense of it. I found my voice
I began showing my work November 2007 at the fabulous Vox Gallery in Sacramento. I began showing at Sideshow Studios in April of 2008 and soon got to know the motley cru who refer to themselves as the Scary Art Collective, a group of caring, eccentric, creative individuals who introduced me to the Sacramento Art Community at its best, and have recently accepted me as one of their own!
