It has been a long, hard winter. But Spring weather and changes are right around the corner. I feel the hibernation coming to an end.
I contemplated not renewing my MobileMe account with Apple for weeks, especially since I haven’t blogged in ages. But the promise is that there is an option for a password/invite only, new features, and quicker uploads so I am sold. I will be writing more. I need to. I feel so very stifled, but life has been complicated and sometimes broadcasting that to the world can be scary especially since students could stumble upon it. I went to type on my Teacher Blog, which I haven’t written on since October, and believe it or not-I password protected it so well that I have no idea how to get back to it. There is so much to say about my teaching this year--so many successes to celebrate. Teenagers are reading. They love it. They read more than me. It is my hope that I have inspired them enough to make it a life-long habit. They just completed a binder full of summaries and recommendations for my students next year to read through when they start off the year telling me, “I hate reading. There aren’t any good books.”
I will be back. It may not be this week or next, but very soon.
