To date, we have raised over $125,000!!! We raised over $38,000 in 2007 and were the top friends and family team, and raised over $24,000 in 2008.
Who are we? We are a diverse “friends and family” team of cyclists committed to helping those with MS. Join our team!
What is the “Bike MS Bike Tour”? The Bike MS Bike Ride (Formerly MS 150) is a fully-supported, two-day road ride, September 12-13, 2009, featuring a gorgeous route, a fun and friendly rider village, organized by the Greater Washington MS Society, to raise money to assist those who have MS and to find a cure.
What is Multiple Sclerosis? Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another. There are approximately 400,000 people with MS in the US today. Most people who are diagnosed are
between the ages of 20 and 50. Today there is no cure, but new
treatments and advances in research are giving new hope to people affected by the disease.
