Large, 8"x12" American flag silk flown to the International Space Station by Expedition 9. Cancelled aboard for the 30th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing, with the blue ISS on-board octagon, and the Expedition 9 handstamp in blue. Also date stamped in violet. Signed by three crewmembers including Padalka & Fincke.

Manned Orbiting Space Station, Environmental Control and Life Support System Study, Vol. 3 and 4. Hamilton Standard, May 1964. 8.5 x 11 in. One of the earliest NASA-funded studies on Space Station concepts.
1. Vol. 3 focuses on sub-system study results such as carbon dioxide reduction and removal, atmospheric storage, water reclamation, and waste management.
2. Vol. 4 covers larger systems study results including overall life support system approach, rotation station description, and zero gravity station system.

(Astronauts), U.S. Space Station Design Manuals, Lot of 7.  April 1969 to March 1970, by Space Division, North American Rockwell, Downey, CA 11” X 8.5” each.  These technical manuals provide background information and specifications for the United States space station and shuttle program of the late 1960s.  Research manuals range from 45 to 75 pages each, and include: “Habitability Design”, “Program Definition (Phase B) – Technical and Business Management Proposals”, “Second Monthly Review”, “Special Emphasis Tasks Summary Report”, “February Progress Report”, and “Engineering and Architectural Study for Extraterrestrial Architectural Design – Technical Proposal”.  Produced under the auspices of federal contract “NAS9-9953”, these proposals represent the research and ideas of scientists and engineers at North American Rockwell’s Space Division.  Formerly owned by John W.
