Because we at AMC live near the US/Mexican border, we have special interest in immigrants. We have ties with the following organizations. Please contact Sayrah Namaste for more information about the border activities.
The Albuquerque Mennonite Church sends volunteers to work with Desert Humanitarians, a nonprofit organization based in Palomas, Mexico, to serve migrants on a quarterly basis. Volunteers distribute kits of food and water, blankets, and clothes; perform desert searches and provide medical care to migrants in distress.

FLOC (Farm Labor Organizing Committee)
Albuquerque Mennonite Church supports FLOC, the migrant farmworker union of the Midwest, which works to prevent exploitation of the migrant farmworkers that pick our food. Following the murder of FLOC staff member Santiago Rafael Cruz, AMC supported FLOC with financial resources for the protective accompaniment program which deters further violence against FLOC.
