(S)Edition: Prints as Activism will provide a venue for contemporary artists to connect the 21st century language of printmaking to the medium’s history as an instrument of democracy. Exhibited artists will demonstrate the viability of prints to engage issues of social and environmental justice. For centuries, multiplicity and the potential for widespread dissemination have made print media an ideal vox populi (voice of the people.) The conceptual focus of (S)Edition is printmaking’s continuing service in this role.

Tanglefoot artists’ 19th year Open Studio!

The annual Tanglefoot sale will celebrate 19 years.
This year the building’s artists will open even more doors to the public.
Participating artists include:
Elaine Dalcher, Tommy Allen, Sandy and Tim Gunnet, Nikki Wall, Michael Pfleghaar, Alynn Guerra, Carlos Aceves, Teamwork, Jeff Condon and Scott Naylor.
The event will take place on Friday night and Sunday afternoon at the Tanglefoot building.

Red Hydrant Press Studio is calling for submissions for the Dead End mini print exhibit. The event will take place on Friday October 30 and Saturday October 31, and will be up until the end of The Studio Holiday sale on November 20-22.

Theme: Day of the Dead

Print dimensions: 9 square inches (3x3, 4.5x2, etc see example on the right)

Paper dimensions: 6x6”

Medium: Hand pulled prints only; Woodcut, collagraph, monotype, intaglio, lithography, etching, silkscreen, etc. No ink jet, laser, photocopy or any mechanical or photographic reproductions please.

We encourage artists to pull an edition and have extra prints available for sale during the event. The exhibit will be curated by Brett Colley and Alynn Guerra.
The studio will keep 20% of the sales

Delivery of work: Artwork can be dropped off during studio hours or mailed. Works sent by mail must include both return postage and packaging.

Sunday 18
1-6 PM.
(For any other days please call)
Work must be at the studio by 6 PM Sunday October 18th.

Please include:
- Print info submission and artist agreement forms. (make sure you sign both of them)
- SAE and packaging to have your prints and payment mailed to you.
