South Dublin Rock School

South Dublin Rock School is an
Alternative Entertainments music initiative
aimed at young musicians aged between 13 and 18.

NEW MODULE:
Suburban Sounds 2011/12

October ’11 – April ‘12

The South Dublin Rock School will begin its new term this October. The focus will be on the preparation and recording of demo and album material. Students will be introduced to techniques in composition, arrangement, preparation, recording, production and mixing that will help them produce top quality recordings. There will be workshops with industry experts on what record companies, agents and managers expect and how best to present it. We will invite professional musicians, engineers and journalists to assist the students in their preparation of an end-of-term CD that will be professionally produced, packaged and released with a launch concert featuring live performances by the School’s students.

Registration for this module will be announced soon. While a large part of our course is devoted to the composition of new music we are also looking for bands and individuals with original material that they wish to work up to recording standard.
