VCRs, cassette decks, turntables, and reel-to-reel decks are getting harder to find each year. Brick and mortar electronic stores that once had rows of said machines a few years ago now may carry one at best. Not only are playback machines for these media becoming hard to find, but tape was never designed to last forever, and some of your most precious memories may be slowly deteriorating. Let us digitize your media so that you can enjoy it on modern DVD players, iPods, CD players, or even your computer screen. We can even include clips from your home movies in newly edited works.

To transfer audio or video to DVD or CDs respectively we charge a flat rate of $25 per each hour of media. Additional copies of CDs can be made for $3/each; additional copies of DVDs are made for $5. Upon request, we can fade your video in and out at the beginning and end plus add an introductory title at no extra charge. We will also attempt to remove defects from audio recordings if it is within our capacity and provided that we are informed of them ahead of time.
We can also transfer your audio and video to digital formats for on-line distribution on sites such as Google Video and YouTube, iPods, or inclusion in other works. If this is requested in combination with a DVD or CD copy, the price is only $10 extra; if not then the same $25 per hour fee applies.

We can accept video recorded on any of the following formats: VHS, Hi-8, Digital8, and MiniDV. In some cases, we can also transfer computer formats to DVD; please check with us.
We can transfer audio from any of the following formats: cassette tape, vinyl, MP3 (and other digital formats, check with us), reel to reel tape (1/4" tape at 3 ¾ or 7 ½ IPS for ¼ track or 7 ½ or 15 IPS for ½ track. We cannot currently transfer ¼ track tapes larger than 7").
If for some reason you need media transferred onto a medium other than DVD or CD we can export your audio or video to MiniDV, Digital8, VHS, cassette tape, or reel-to-reel (within the specifications above) for a reasonable fee.
If the format of your tapes is not listed please contact us; a workaround may be possible, especially if you have playback equipment on hand for us to temporarily borrow. Though it has never happened, we are not responsible for any damage done to media while in our possession due to machine malfunctions or any other natural occurrences.
