Gravenhurst is a small town in Muskoka, in Ontario.  Muskoka is a beautiful region of ridges of exposed Canadian Shield, rolling forested hills, and lakes.  Many, many lakes.  In fact, Gravenhurst was once the end of the line for travel in Ontario.  Once you arrived here via train or stage, the only way to go further was to go by water.

So it only makes sense that our local Scouting Group is a ship’s company of Sea Scouts.
