We are having a lot of fun with our current project. This is our biggest, most inclusive project to date. We have teamed up with Magnet Mafia for a Magnetic Street Art Exchange between Magnet Mafia and Austrian artists.
Magnet Mafia is a Denver-based group of street artists who create art on magnets and put them up in the streets and galleries of Denver and around the world. Their intent is to share art, encourage people’s awareness of their environment through interaction, and to promote magnetic street art as an art form. In Denver Magnet Mafia has been hosting painting parties for some of their favorite local artists, resulting in 50 square feet of magnets for distribution in Austria
December 27, 2007 - 15 January, 2008.
While in Austria, Spondere will distribute the Denver magnets and will host a painting event for students from the Hauptschule Altmunster and public. The artwork created during the painting event will then be brought back to Denver for a brief exhibition and distribution around Denver and other areas by the Magnet Mafia.
