Mystic Mirada Productions has once again completed a new documentary production about children, a theme that we have not returned to since the production of “Los Niños de Hollywood” (Children of Hollywood ) for the public television station Telepacífico in Colombia in 2001.
This time our destination is Las Terrenas, an area of the Dominican Republic where an educational project created and coordinated by Anne Post, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, is commited to improving the lives of a group of children living in poverty. The project provides the children with the necessary tools to break the cycle of poverty that they were born into. We traveled to the northern coast of the Dominican Republic in search of the stories of these Dominican children. The result was magical: an invaluable portrait of dreams, hard work, and determination.
