      Alex is exhibited and collected internationally, this site shows a selection and record of work to date.

      Exploring themes of spirituality, mythology and human interaction, these images have been described as illustrations from a book that has never been written. Occupying the space between the verbal and the written word the paintings act as a gateway to our own personal archetypes, allowing the viewer to debate their meaning in the light of their own experience.

       The recent series of drawings indicate a new direction for Alex where the figure has largely been supplanted by strange juxtapositions of impossible machines and dreamlike structures. A new landscape reminding us of medieval manuscripts, surreal visions and ancient symbols.
