In order to bring in extra cash, we have been sending our cats out several days each month to participate in laboratory testing and medical experiments.

One might ask why stray animals aren’t quietly collected and used for these purposes - because part of what we are paid for is to observe and report back on adverse reactions, behavioral changes, chronic side effects, altered personality concerns, etc.

We decided to hold off on giving the cats a name, so that we wouldn’t become too attached to them.

In the photo above, a powerful sedative has been administered several hours prior to pick up and transport to the distant testing facilities.

Without the drugs we would have to conduct a “Cat Rodeo” in order to get both of them into the cramped transport container.

Neither one of us is proud of the situation we are in, but it feels like the right thing to come clean.
