The Alden House is an inviting, comfortable inn located in the heart of Penobscot Bay. Built in 1840 by Hiram Alden, the inn features classic architecture, expansive garden areas, and delicious breakfasts. The Alden House Inn offers easy access to all points of interest along Penobscot Bay, Acadia National Park, Maine’s Mid-Coast region - not to mention the City of Belfast itself, with its eclectic array of shops, cultural opportunities, and beautiful shoreline. Belfast has long held a reputation as a cultural destination. Frommer’s Budget Travel Magazine listed Belfast as one of its top 10 “Coolest Small Towns” for 2008, for example. During the past year, Belfast has received a lot of attention in local media for rebounding energetically from the recession. Main Street boasts several new shops and restaurants and we now have a world-class shipyard. There’s never been a better time to visit!

The innkeepers, Rose Cyr and Larry Marshall, are committed to offering each guest a memorable stay, whether you’re in town for a night or a week, traveling for business or pleasure. We invite you to learn more about the Alden House Inn by exploring the website or by calling us directly at (207) 338-2151 or toll-free at (877) 337-8151.
