NorthWest Transport Chief backs maglev
UK Ultraspeed warmly welcomes the report in ‘The Business Week’ in today’s Liverpool Daily Post which reports the comments of Neil Scales, chief executive of Merseytravel. Scales said the scheme was something his organisation would be looking into.
He added: “There’s a growing level of support for Maglev because the technology is proven.”
“I’ve actually travelled on the one in Shanghai. It’s a great way to get people to the North, to Liverpool and Manchester.”
Mr Scales added that the Maglev technology “ticked all the right boxes in terms of speed and the environment”.
