Newcastle Journal salutes Scottish backing for maglev
UK Ultraspeed warmly welcomes the Editorial in today’s Newcastle Journal, reporting the agenda-setting role of Strathcylde Partnership for Transport in backing studies designed to prove the facts about maglev. Particularly noting the possibility to extend a potential Scottish Stage One route to link the North East into a new cross-border super-region, the editorial firmly backs the SPT initiative. It reads.

Applaud the visionaries eager to explore the role an ultra high speed rail link might play in enabling the region to fulfil its potential.
Like the proponents of the railways of old, their imagination needs the backing of facts and figures to conquer the doubters.
