Selling books to help the library

The A-Frame Bookstore is adjacent to the Ruch Library parking lot and is open each day the library is open, though not for as many hours each day. [see schedule, above left]    It is staffed by FORL volunteers and sells books, CDs, and DVDs either donated by individuals, or surplused from the library itself.

We sell books for adults, young adults, and children; fiction and non-fiction of all sorts, and audiobooks too.  Prices range from 25¢ to $1. (Donated magazines are now free in the little alcove inside the library entrance.)

All the money from sales goes toward FORL’s sole purpose of supporting library services––adding hours, supporting special events like the Kids’ Summer Reading Program, and other programs at Ruch library.

Free up some shelf space around your house

Your recycled books, movies and music will help your library, and make low-cost reading materials available to the community. Everything’s welcome, from children’s books to popular fiction, biographies, and cookbooks, as long as it’s clean and usable.

Donations of books and other materials can be made at these locations:

@ The A-Frame Bookstore during its hours of operation; the volunteer on duty can give you a receipt for tax purposes,

@ The covered walkway of the storage building (the first building on your left as you drive up to the library),

@ The Ruch Library building itself.

Donated materials are first reviewed by library staff, for possible addition to the library.

The Friends also sell popular fiction paperbacks and some magazines from racks in the Ruch Country Store. Our thanks to RCS owners Craig and Amber Hamm for donating this space to us.
