Everyone lives a by script.  All get scripted through the process of formation and socialization by family, friends, and culture.  The dominant scripting in our North American society is a script that is dualistic, naturalistic, individualistic, materialistic, pluralistic, and centered in a technological, therapeutic consumerism that is enacted through advertising and propaganda, especially in the liturgies of television, and which promises to make us happy and complete without the active and saving presence of the living, Triune God in our lives.

     It is the task of ministry to de-script that script among us.  This task of de-scripting is accomplished by the steady, patient, intentional articulation of an ALTERNATIVE SCRIPT that can make us blessed.  This alternative script is scripted in the BIBLE, and in the WORD MADE FLESH, and is enacted through the teachings, life, ministry and mission of His people in the world.  In our time how can we live out in our common life together, and witness to our culture, the “stories that really matter” as we give the reason for the hope that lives within us.
