DOLICHODERUS
Dolichoderus is a large genus represented by nearly 140 species and subspecies (Australian Ants). While most species are heavily armoured with spines (as Polyrhachis), few are devoid of them. These ants establish nests either in the ground or on tree barks. They are general scavengers often tend to sap-sucking insects for honey-dew.
