We are well-known for our line of American Cockers, and they continue to set the pace in the British show rings. Since the arrival of the great ‘Choice’ (CH Cashmere Matador Last Dance for Afterglow) 10 years ago, her successive line of solids and hybrid particolours has taken us to greater heights, with multiple dogs winning Top Gundog awards, Club Show Best in Shows, and Top 10 All-Breed status here at home and beyond, not to mention numerous Show Champion titles. We have also enjoyed success in Standard Poodles. Our most celebrated boy, the great white ‘Donny’ (CH Afterglow The Big Tease) created a stir winning Best of Breed at the prestigious Poodle Club of America from the Open class! His success has spread across the Atlantic as he is also a multi BIS winner in the UK. Additionally the PBGV’s have had their share of the spotlight. With multiple Champions made up over the years, a highlight has been the career of CH Afterglow Woody Woodpecker, who in 2005 was TOP HOUND in the US. And , our latest standard-bearer CH Afterglow Ebeneezer won 14 BIS in 2007 and was Best of Breed at Westminster in ’08! Purebred dogs are our passion and we strive to breed the best conformation, health and temperament in all of our chosen breeds. We often have puppies and mature dogs available for loving pet homes as well. Beyond winning in the show ring, the first priority here is to breed dogs sound in mind and body who are wonderful companions. All of our litters are hand-raised, in the home, where they are able to develop the outgoing temperament that characterizes an Afterglow puppy. Our breeding stock is tested for health defects and all dogs sold come fully-vaccinated and wormed. We take great pride in raising puppies that go on to become cherished family members.
