WHAT’S NEW-ISH?

I’m breaking out of my astrologically predetermined rut (I’m a Taurus) and trying out a new style. It’s loose and hand drawn with an irreverent sense of humor. Right now I’m focusing on unflattering celebrity likenesses and interpreting their many foibles and missteps with my special brand of doodle art. In the coming months I’ll be taking my new style in a more commercial direction and see if anyone is interested. Take a look:

I just found out that my two new kids pop up books have won Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards. Halloween at the Zoo won the Gold Medal and Christmas at the Zoo won Bronze. Buy a copy at Handsome Devil Press.

I’m flattered to be featured in The Big Book of Fashion Illustration

My new book WOOF! A Gay Man’s Guide to Dogs is now in stores, and of course Handsome Devil Press is the exclusive distributor of the WOOF! line of greeting cards. Check out the launch party pix.

You've probably seen Jason’s work before.

His greeting cards are featured in hip shops around the globe and his illustrations have appeared in Vogue, The New York Times, Elle Decor, and OUT. Other clients include Gap, Mini-Cooper, Ikea, Coca Cola, Ajaxx63, and American Express, to name just a few of his resume highlights. He was recently selected one of the “200 Best Illustrators Worldwide” by Lürzer’s Archive. Really, it's no surprise — Jason is the progeny of an art director (dad) and an illustrator (mom).

In 2005, he launched Handsome Devil Press Greeting Cards for Modern Bohemians with partner J.R. Craigmile. Their ever expanding collection now features over 177 designs and can be found online and in fine stores all over Europe and the US.

They divide their time between New York City and the Catskills and their dogs, Tino and Simon, are never far behind.http://www.handsomedevilpress.comhttp://handsomedevilpress.com/f/Inside_Out_article.lo_lo_res.pdfhttp://homepage.mac.com/aero68/Tino/iMovieTheater77.htmlshapeimage_3_link_0shapeimage_3_link_1shapeimage_3_link_2
