Many of you and many more students are texting. I find texting to be a great form of communication. It forces me to be concise and deliver a clear message.
The web is loaded with tools to make this communication goal become a reality and they’re free (standard text message rates do apply).
Here is what twitter can do for MMS:
My vision for twitter and MMS is to update those of you who want to be updated with short bursts of information about our school. I imagine sending “tweets” about sporting events, reminders, and other noteworthy information that may benefit you, the stakeholders.
Below are the steps to follow prior to your first “tweet”:
MMS’s implementation of twitter is just an attempt to enhance communication and to celebrate good news in short “tweets”.
This service is not just for parents. Our student body can sign up for twitter accounts at home and receive tweets on their phones used for texting. To receive tweets on your phone you’ll need to click on the “settings” tab once your account is activated. Twitter will explain the rest!
