On Sunday morning my closest cousin in the world was shot and killed at a nightclub in Queens. Simple as that.

Gone.
 
One stray bullet and now he is just a statistic. One small paragraph in the police blotter. But he will always be more than that to me.

I did the whole D.C. Inauguration thing and it was one of the best experiences of my life. It also came at a time in my life when I needed a little uplifting and a reminder that there is still the possibility to be anything I want to be in life.
 
But while I was in D.C. I got a glimpse of MAH PEOPLE! And bless our hearts because we are such a colorful people who know how to hustle by any means

When dealing with women there are certain rules that you should always follow. For the clueless out there, I put together a list of “Don’t you ever”s to help you along.   For example.. “Don’t you ever rock a high-top fade unless your name is Big Daddy Kane.”

Seems simple enough right? Not for some folks.

New town? New experiences? Right?  Well this was the newest experience I have had since moving to the A.
 
The other day one of my friends from North Carolina told me “Adena you need Jesus in your life, I’m sending you to church.”

Last week the ATM decided to destroy my paycheck so I was subject to walk into the bank and deal with a gaggle of idiots. As I waited on line for 20 minutes at Bank of America and watched three tellers figure out how to open one drawer I wondered “what would life be like if the world operated on a shot clock?”
