Hanging out in the backyard tonight.

Today we put away all of our Halloween decorations until next year.  In its place came out all of the Thanksgiving decor.  Alejandra was beside herself with excitement when she saw the “chickens.”  Yes, chickens are adorning our home not turkeys...LOL!  We worked on saying “pavo” and she said it beautifully many times but still when she sees a turkey she says “chicken!”  Besides Thanksgiving, our Daddy will also turn one year wiser VERY SOON!  We’ve got some birthday planning to do!

Daddy and Abuelita worked on a garage project this afternoon while Mamí and Alejandra hung out in the backyard.  Little Alejandra can now open up all of the doors which is very SCARY!  Today she ran from the backyard to the garage and opened up the door.  Then we heard screaming!  Little one had slammed her finger into the door.  Looks like some child locks are in our near future!

We are adjusting to DSL.  It’s kind of weird to have it be so dark at 5:00 pm.  Little Alejandra had a weird night anyway because she has a horrible cough that keeps waking her up.  At 3:00 a.m. we brought her into our room to see if a propped up pillow would help.  Well, that was a horrible idea because it was such a novelty to be with Mamí and Daddy in their bed.  She kept talking about Halloween and “no more trick or treat, okay!”  At 4:30 Daddy but her back in her cuna and she slept in until 8:30 a.m.

Tonight we are winding down from the weekend’s excitement and are getting ready for a quick dinner and then off to bed!  Until tomorrow!
