What is Shiatsu?
 
An ancient Asian Bodywork Therapy tradition, Shiatsu literally means “finger pressure” in Japanese. Shiatsu treatment includes a range of techniques primarily using the hands to facilitate the body’s healing process. Gentle pressure, stretching and manipulation is applied to access the body’s vital energies called “qi.” As qi flow is balanced, deep relaxation ensues; immune, circulation, nervous and digestive systems self-regulate.
This balance is the basis of good health.
 
In a Shiatsu sesssion the receiver lies fully clothed on a mat, and is encouraged to clear the mind and enjoy a meditative state.
