Many women are born with an enlarged or asymmetrical labia. This condition can also occur with childbirth,the aging process, or hormones. Women who are self conscious about the appearance of their vulva may be potential candidates for this procedure.  A New You Aesthetics offers patients labioplasty in the hospital operating room, however labioplasty is also offered in an office treatment room.  This provides patients with an option to have the procedure without having to pay a facility fee, this lowers the price of the procedure significantly while having the privacy many of our patients desire .  During this procedure Dr. Wisler will safely reduce the size of the labia majora or labia minora depending on the patients specific desire. The scar will be minimized with the use of radiowave technology and hidden in the crease between the inner and outer labia. 

   Dr. Wisler will use  Ellman’s radiowave technology to perform this procedure. Radiowave technology uses high frequency energy to make cosmetic enhancing incisions.  Healing is rapid and virtually bloodless with little or no bruising or swelling.  Radiowave technology differs from traditional surgery.  When radiowaves are used instead of a scalpel or laser, only the cells immediately adjacent to the wire electrode are affected. This results in less bleeding than a scalpel and more comfortable recovery then lasers.  Scarring is often minimized or eliminated.

   The cosmetic enhancement of the vagina is performed on an outpatient basis and typically takes about one hour. Once this procedure is completed ice packs will be applied to minimize swelling and discomfort.  Pain is moderate and can be controlled through the use of medication and topical analgesics.  Sexual intercourse and strenuous activity is strongly discouraged for six weeks following the labioplasty procedure.  Exercise can be resumed in two to four weeks at the patients discretion.
