I must say i’m somewhat disappointed with the finale. I still love it and I will stay on the bandwagon no matter what-but i’m a little worried for the life span of the show! Anyone else have any thoughts?

When we were in Phoenix, we left the house, then my parents left the house and left Chloe out without knowing that she stays in her kennel during the day-when we are not home. We came home and she had done and excellent job! So when we got back we decided to keep her out during the day. We closed all the bedroom/bathroom doors and went to work! I got home around 4:30 to find everything exactly where we left it! Today is the 2nd day we have left her out and (so far) she has been a perfect angel! So far. The other big deal is that she has been sleeping in our room (with no crate) in her bed! Needless to say, we are very proud of our baby girl.

Adam and I traveled to Arizona last week/weekend to celebrate Danny’s graduation from law school! Yay!! We loaded up the car with Chloe and WAY to much stuff then drove 6 hours to my beautiful home town! THURSDAY was Adam’s 26th Birthday! We took a stroll through my mall in the morning then met the family for lunch at Oregano’s-the best place ever. (can you tell I love my state?) Friday was Danny’s graduation which was great and actually made Adam think about going to law school. (we’ll see) We had a lot of parties and family time this weekend which actually turned out to be a lot of fun. There is a new edition to the Seiden family who we got to meet-maggie t. She is a precious english bulldog puppy and we love her! She, Chloe, and Winston got along really well. We had a great time but the trip went by too fast. Chloe had a lot of firsts this weekend. She stayed out at home by herself (usally she is in her kennel), she slept in our room (in her bed) without being in the kennel, and....she went swimming! All in all we had a great time. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Adam and I recently celebrated two years of wedded bliss. Our anniversary landed on a Tuesday this year so we decided to celebrate in 2 parts: 1) isotopes game (baseball) 2) dinner at home on Saturday. The game was a lot of fun! I people watched and I think Adam actually watched some of the game. We each ate a hotdog-which is a must for any baseball game-then I got a funnel cake. Phase two of our celebrations happened on Saturday. I wanted to make an elaborate meal complete with four courses and wine. As I was planning out my menu I realized that I had no idea how to prepare all 4 courses so that they would be warm when I wanted to serve them. Anyways, I finally settled on Prosciutto purses (cantalope, prosciutto, and parmesan), veal marsala w/rosemary mashed potatoes, and for dessert, chocolate tiramisu. Everything turned out great-even the tiramisu! Every step in making the tiramisu went slightly wrong but I was quite pleased with how it all turned out. The best part about celebrating special occasions is that i get to bust out our china! I LOVE our china!

Enough about the celebrations. TWO YEARS OF MARRIAGE! It seems totally crazy to me! I can’t believe it has already been two years but at the same time it feels like it has been forever. When I tell people that they laugh and are like, “yeah, you feel like you’ve been married FOREVER!” but it’s not like that at all! Anyways, it’s not always been easy but I think I speak for both of us when I say that we are thrilled to have two years under our belts and are so excited for the many years to come!

Adam and I decided that we needed to get away somewhere. Because I had just started my new job I had no time off-not to mention that money is not exactly growing on trees at our house, we decided to stay somewhere close. Turns out there is a nice Hyatt resort in Bernalillo which is about 15 miles from our house. It also turns out that I found us a good deal on rates through Hotwire! On Friday after work we headed out to the Hyatt Tamaya Resort and Spa. Once we arrived we sat outside a the bar that overlooks the Sandia mountains. On saturday morning we ordered room service (so fun!) then headed out to the golf course! I had never seen Adam play before and he needs to start practicing again! He is playing in his first competitive tournament since high school next weekend! I got to drive the cart, too! He played very well and I enjoyed riding along. After golfing we relaxed a little and went to the lounge for some live music and a drink. All in all, we had a great weekend!

It was so nice to get away even though it wasn’t far from home. Adam’s parents were out of town this weekend as well so Chloe stayed with some of our friends. She and Milo (their dog) play extremely well together. Chloe was so mad at us when we picked her up this morning. She got over it about an hour later when we all took a nap on the couch. Milo totally wore her out over the weekend and we are so glad!

The weekend was a wonderful break but I think we are both glad to get back to life as we know it. Busy season totally disrupted our schedule and we’re excited to get things back on track.
