What are podcasts?

Podcasting is similar to a radio broadcast, but on the internet. Ordinary people create podcasts using their computers and publish them to a website so that they can be downloaded. Podcasts are created for all sorts of interests. I’ve selected some great educational podcasts, but there are also some cool casts you might want to check out. The neat thing about podcasts is that you can subscribe to them, so that each time a new one is published it downloads directly to your computer without you having to move a finger. Once downloaded to your computer you can transfer the file to your mp3 player, like an ipod, and listen to it anywhere. The podcasts included on this website are all free to download.
