Programs @ Your Library

We have lots of free programs going on at LGMS and at OCPL branches. Take a look at what’s happening below. Parents are invited to attend programs with their children.

LGMS (All programs are on Tuesdays from 2:45-3:45,

unless otherwise noted. Students are asked to rsvp for programs so that the correct amount of supplies may be purchased. Please call the school’s main number if you have questions about the after-school bus. Students need a note to stay after.)

Wilderness Branch

Warm Up America

Knitting Club

New members are always welcome. You don’t need to know how to knit to join this club. We will provide the lessons, the knitting needles, and the yarn. We will make 7” x 9” squares that will be made into afghan blankets to be donated to Warm Up America. LGMS afghans will provide warmth and comfort to people who have lost their homes, fled abusive relationships, or are being cared for in hospices, shelters, hospitals, and nursing homes. Come relax with us on Thursdays and learn a new craft along the way. More information on the Warm Up America Foundation.

The Quilting Bee

Club

Join Ms. Taylor in the library to make the Nine Patch Nirvana quilt. Each month we will sew a block and by the end of the year we will each have a quilt. The third block is called “Four Score.” All materials will be provided.
