My Road Trip

We had an awesome visit with pediatric opthamologist! As in WOW IS THIS MY KID? kinda visit. Cotton did everything they told him to do, cooperated 100%! The only thing he did not like, was when they shined the light into his eyes, but hey, the kid is photophobic after all. The techs were quite impressed with his EXIT sign obsession, and took him around to show him all the EXIT signs. They even understood him when he read off the letters.... and to top it off the doctor did not get kicked in the tenders even once!
We ended with good news, Cotton still does not need glasses:) His acuity has even improved which is rare for someone with albinism! I asked the doc. if he had more pigment than most kids with albinism, because we do not see a lot of limiting issues concerning his vision, and he kind of laughed at me.
So no, he has a very pale iris, but, his overall vision is at about 20/80 which rocks for albinism. He will always need large print, and a few other accommodations, but over all the best news if you have to have both albinism, and autism;)
