Off the top of my head
Just saw the KC Rep’s production of King Lear, and enjoyed being out and seeing a show. I really liked the set, which looked like huge puzzle pieces falling out of a frame. I was hoping the set would have some movement (maybe the puzzle pieces falling around King Lear as his empire disintegrated).
Although some elements of the show left something to be desired, It made me realize (again) how much I miss theatre. Perhaps it’s time for me to check with some local theatres to see if there might be a way for me to contribute some spare time and energy to the stage once more in some capacity.
Must be like an old alcoholic discovering a dusty bottle of vodka in the cabinet.
