Manokotak students receive their MacBooks during the November 13-14, 2006 rollout, which also included a parent orientation evening and community potluck.

Two photos below show students involved in a live videoconference with NASA astronauts. Prior to the videoconference, students had been in contact with the astronauts, asking questions via web blogs using the new computers. One photo shows students talking with NASA astronaut Captain Bill Oefeleine during the videoconference. Many of them used their computers to ask him questions on his web blog before and after the presentation.
