Cheryl Bobo, Technology Director of Craig City Schools, sent these examples of student-created magazine covers produced as part of a class assignment. The class has been participating in the CDL 1 to 1 initiative since 2006 and have become quite proficient in using their laptops to create many different kinds of digital content.  

During a discussion about what draws people to buy magazines, students asked if they could create their own. Cheryl provided samples of real magazines and told the students to select one for design style, then add pictures and information that would entice others to buy their magazine. “They each selected magazines and RAN back to their computers to begin creating covers starring themselves,” she said. “The kids were funny and were teaching us things. Verrrry creative stuff!”
