“Made in Alaska” Education Software

Alaska teacher and software developer Alan Degener recently completed two applications designed for use by educators. QuickieQ is a web-based on-the-fly student response system and goCloudware is an interactive site designed to help educators discover and review a variety of web-based instructional applications.

The applications were originally developed by Alan for use by himself and his fellow teachers at Floyd Dryden Middle School in Juneau. Based on their successful deployment at his own school, he is now offering them to other educators free of charge. He encourages teacher review of the applications and welcomes feedback on how they can be improved.

Alan Degener will be publicly unveiling QuickieQ and goCloudware at the upcoming ASTE conference in Anchorage. Descriptions of his conference sectionals and web links are listed below.

While CDL does not officially endorse these products, we believe they may be of interest to teachers at schools participating in CDL.
