The Artists Association of Nantucket
is a vibrant community institution. Its more than 500 members are artists and art lovers who, through a wide range of association activities, keep alive the practice and appreciation
of art on Nantucket — fostering the work of established, professional artists as well as making way for emerging talents.
Founded in 1945, the AAN continues to adhere to its original mission statement: “to preserve and develop Nantucket as a recognized art center and to promote the education and interests of Nantucket artists.”

• Our Gallery at 19 Washington Street hosts a year-round schedule of changing member exhibitions.
• Our Arts Workshop and Academy maintains a campus at 1 Gardner Perry Lane, and it offers varied art instruction by a resident professional faculty.
• Our Permanent Collection includes more than 600 works by former and present-day artists who have shaped the Nantucket Art Colony since 1920.
