Enrollment
At Allied Music Instructors, Instructors are in charge of enrolling their own students and maintaining their own schedules. This allows them the flexibility to begin new classes monthly, as the need arises. When you are ready to enroll, simply call the Instructor(s) of your choice to discuss available days and times. Your Instructor will ask you to fill out a simple enrollment form at your first lesson.
Schedules
In general, lessons are scheduled to meet once a week at the same day and time for 30-minutes on an ongoing basis. Instructors schedule 42-lesson weeks per calendar year. As a result some months will have 3 lessons while others have 4 or sometimes 5 lessons. The 10 no-lesson-weeks, which are not part of the tuition, are typically used to absorb major holiday times; i.e. July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break; times when we know large numbers of students are going to be absent. Your Instructor will make available to you a schedule showing the no-lesson weeks, so you may always know when you won’t have lessons.
Contact the Instructor to schedule your classes.
Tuition
Your AMI Instructor calculates monthly tuition based on a 42-lesson year. Monthly tuition is averaged and will be the same each month. Tuition is due at the first lesson of each month and is paid directly to the Instructor.
In most cases AMI Instructors offer private instruction and small group (2-4 students) instruction. These small groups are fun, effective, and significantly less expensive than private lessons.
AMI also offers “Buddy Lessons,” where two to four friends can study music together. So, get your buddy to take lessons with you, have fun and save money too.

Withdrawals
Enrollment is on an ongoing basis. However, you may withdraw from lessons by filling out a withdrawal form (available from your teacher). Just hand it in with your last payment. Be sure to read your Instructor's Policies regarding withdrawal deadlines.
Recitals
Although not required, each Instructor provides their students the opportunity to showcase their recently acquired talents to a safe and encouraging audience of friends and family members through at least two free recital performances a year.
