Wish to be an AMI Instructor?

Do you want to be one of the Best Music Instructors in East Tennessee? If you do, then AMI wants to talk to you!

Allied Music Instructors (AMI) provides training, facilities, services, and policies to music instructors working under agreement with AMI. An Allied Music Instructor is an independent contractor using AMI’s services & facilities, who agrees to uphold AMI’s high standards of quality.  Instructor candidates must have good interpersonal & intrapersonal skills, be musically literate, reliable, open-minded, and willing to work to build their program.

It is the goal of Allied Music Instructors to help music instructors improve their teaching effectiveness and earning potential. Utilizing our policies and services, AMI Instructors earn more in less time than most of their competitors. In a way, being an AMI instructor is like having your own “franchise” business.

AMI provides a proven business model, business support, and facilities. In return the instructor pays very reasonable fees, based on their monthly earnings.

Our Facilities: AMI provides furnished instructional studio space that includes chairs, dry-erase boards, music stands, etc. In some cases instruments such as drums or pianos may also be provided. We currently have 10 studios in three locations.

Our Services: AMI also provides generous advertising and marketing support for all its Instructors.

Training: AMI provides training in class management, child development, multiple learning styles, and program administration. AMI will present a certificate of this training, upon its completion.

Policies: AMI will also provide time-tested studio policies that allow for flexible scheduling options, and improved earning potential. These policies also allow instructors to maximizing their free time, and put a damper on client abuse of the instructor’s schedule.

That being said, the success of an AMI Instructor largely depends on the Instructor’s enthusiasm about their program, ability to relate to their clients, reliability, and use of AMI’s self-marketing opportunities and policies. AMI’s policies and strategies are based on experience, intensive study, and market research dating back to 1989.  Instructors who follow our program typically earn more in less time than most private music teachers in the area.
