I met students from this church years ago on a Mexico mission trip.  They invited me to come lead worship for their camp and have been inviting me back ever since.

I’ve watched campers grow up and become counselors; counselor couples have formed (some have married and have kids now); the church and the camp program have grown through the years.  It’s an amazing privilege to be part of it.

We rocked out!

They completely mocked me with this skit. When we play soccer at camp I really get into it...so of course in this skit all “I” did was knock over campers and crush people to get the ball.  By the end of the skit everyone was on the ground except “me”.  Nice.

World’s greatest slip-n-slide!

Now it’s blossomed into a really cool 3 day mini-camp of training.  At the end of it, the students put on a big worship concert for the whole church.

Thanks to Mark and all the fantastic people at Redeemer for inviting me to be part of these wonderful events!  See you next year!

The driving force behind all of this is Mark Wuggazer, the youth pastor at Redeemer.  I have a ton of respect for his leadership and vision.  Over the years he has built a solid program and he continues to expand it.

A couple years ago Mark told me he wanted to launch a youth band, and I said I’d help get them going, so we started an informal music clinic after camp with interested students.

The students worked really hard and pulled off a great night of worship!
