74.    AARP Driver Safety Program

This program is approved by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Upon completion, students will qualify for a 10% reduction on their insurance premiums for three years. Drivers who have incurred violation points on their license prior to taking this course may also be eligible for up to a 4 point reduction by the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. Participants must be at least fifty (50) years of age and possess a valid NYS driver's license. Students must attend both sessions. Make checks payable to AARP & submit with your registration form. Checks will not be cashed until after the first session.

75.    Defensive Driving

Under NY State Law, motorists (principal operators) who complete an approved 6-hour Defensive Driving course such as the one sponsored here by the National Safety Traffic Institute, qualify for a 10% reduction on their liability & collision premiums for three years.  (This course should be taken every three years). Check with your insurance agent to make sure your company is presently participating in this program. Drivers who have incurred violation points on their license prior to taking this course may be eligible for as much as a 4-point reduction by the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. Learn techniques to save your life and the lives of your loved ones by avoiding accidents. NO registration will be taken at class time.  NOTE: Please bring a bag lunch for Saturday’s class.

Avoid Disappointment!

Enroll early! Instructors need to prepare for classes, and a course might be cancelled two weeks prior to class if enrollment is insufficient.

You are enrolled in a class as soon as your registration form and fee are received. You will not be called.


Unless otherwise notified, attend the class on the day/date scheduled.
