9. iPhoto – Overview & Demo • NEW!
iPhoto is free included software on Macintosh computers that lets users download and import pictures from a digital camera, then organize, edit, manage, and share them in a variety of different ways. In this 1-session demo and lecture class, students will see how to easily rename & catalog photo files, rotate pictures or correct red-eye, tag images with keywords for easy retrieval, email pictures to friends, print on an ink-jet printer, or order prints over the Internet. Additionally, students will see how to create custom coffee-table books, display digital images on the computer screen in a beautiful full-screen slide show – all accompanied by their favorite music! If you have a digital camera and need to manage and share your images, this Mac-specific class is a necessary piece of photo management software to use. Note: For Macintosh users. Prerequisite: Basic computer experience.

13. Online In Cyberspace Using iChat • NEW!
Can’t attend a class but still want to take one? This special cutting edge virtual class will be exciting, worthwhile and fun. Using your Mac and the free iChat software that comes with it, plus your broadband internet connection (DSL or cable), and an iSight camera, these classes will be "video conferencing for the rest of us". And it will bring the classroom to YOU! You attend this course from the comfort and privacy of your home or office -- or actually, anywhere in the world that you happen to be with your Mac, iSight camera, and an internet connection. Instruction takes place in cyberspace in a live, interactive video chat class. Classes are one hour, the number of sessions depends on the course. An iSight camera comes built-in with all Macs sold after August 2006 and enables you to interact with the other students. Choose from these courses, or see Private course below.
